Nestled somewhere between Ryan Adams, Bob Dylan and 70s Neil Young, Miles Calder & The Rumours’ brand of atmospheric Americana dresses Calder’s heartfelt songs with striving harmonies and earthy tones.
The band's debut EP 'The Crossing Over' was nominated for the 2014 NZ Taite Music Prize (Best Album) and RIANZ Best Country Album. Calder also received honorable mentions in both the International Songwriting
Competition and The John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The band have since played numerous New Zealand festivals and supported Shakey Graves (USA), M. Ward (USA) and Fly My Pretties (NZ).
Miles has recently returned from a year away living in New York writing new material, and a debut European solo tour. He and the band now present their debut album and are touring New Zealand from October to December.
